Tapestry

Tapestry is a secure online Learning Journal to record photos, observations and comments, in line with the EYFS curriculum, to build up a record of your child’s experiences during their time with us.

Here at WU5 we use Tapestry as a way to work with parents and carers to share information and record the children’s play and learning in and outside of the classroom.

Each individual child has their own personal learning journal, which your child's key worker updates with your child's progress. You will receive your own personal login and password to access your child's private journal.

Upon starting at WU5 you will receive the information you need in order to login. There is also an app that is downloadable on your phone/tablet.

Pre-school Committee

Because WU5 is a charity (Charity No: 1048513) it has a group of trustees who form the committee. These are made up of family members of past and present children who attend WU5. The committee has a responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the Pre-school by providing the staff with adequate resources to do this. They also review policies, manage finances as well as voting on important decisions regarding the preschool.  In addition they have an important role in organising fundraising for the Pre-school. These have included discos, cake sales and our annual mouse race. All funds raised from these events are used to purchase and upgrade our equipment as well as help in the day to day costs of running the pre-school.

The committee is always looking for and in need of new members as parents move on as their child leaves WU5. You can give as little or as much time as you can afford and there are meetings typically once a term.

Should you be interested in joining or finding out anything regarding the committee please ask one of the staff members who will be happy to help.
